Singer was born November 26th 1986, in Santa Monica California. She is the daughter her father Vincenzo Barba, and mother Valerie Barba. Her family relocated into Point Pleasant New Jersey when she was just six years old. Red Bank Catholic High School is where she received the formal education she needed within New Jersey. Then she attended Catholic University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in architectural design. She began playing violin when she was four years old, and became known by the name Violin Girl. Performances by her led to being called Violin Girl. She also taught violin to children in the area. In the year 19 she entered the sixth American Idol season and performed one single Free 1976.
